My family visited Winter City and had an amazing time. This location has it all from an amazing Christmas tree lights display in a field full of bonfires, fun concession stand with great food like funnel cake and fried Oreos, and a long windy walk through the woods. Each light display created a magical photo opportunity ranging from a shooting star to a cool reindeer display. My personal favorite was the giant fifteen foot tall teddy bear. They also had a snow tube slide that was a lot of fun for both adults and kids. We got to ride as often as you want and it was faster and more fun than I expected. I never felt rushed or crowded like can happen at other holiday events like this in the city. I will definitely be back year after year. to see what they come up with next. This is the same location that puts on the Field of Screams Maryland, but you would never know it when you got there.

Must DO activity for the holiday season for family, couples and friends! Had soo much fun walking the trail with friends, taking pictures, seeing the magical light show displayed throughout, Delicious food, bon fires, a penguin snow tubing slide (separate ticket but worth it!) and more! It can get cold, so BUNDLE UP. - bathrooms are available and there is plenty free parking

Holiday and Christas lights are my jam and I have been to more shows, displays and festivals than I can count - from neighborhood street displays to Busch Gardens, Disney etc.. and Winter City Lights is the BEST! It has a classic feel to it with 33 bonfires, a 5 acre mulched compound and the most incredible trail of lights in the wood I have ever seen. It was easy to get to, there was free asphalt parking, a pretty walk to the woods with an ice tubing ride on your left and this MAGICAL 52 foot high tree with soooo many strings of dancing lights hanging from it in a canopy I couldnt believe it. Everyone was sitting around their bonfires eating smores and funnel cakes and talking waiting for it to snow!!! Yes, its snows every 20 mins or so and it was incredible! The big tree does lots of coordinated light shows with music all night and you can sit there as long as you want without anyone rushing you. It is nice homey cozy feeling and it felt like the holidays there! You can order food and hot chocolate from the concession stand which was really good - fried Oreos were my favorite! ALL THAT WAS AWEOME BUT THE TRAIL IN THE WOODS TOOK MY BREATHE AWAY! If you search Google for videos or their channel that tells the story but to describe the quality and number of the light displays is hard to do. It was unlike anything I have every seen or experienced - BIG TEDDY was my favorite but lots of folks live the Willow Tree and Prism Tree made of glass I think. It is not a quick walk so be prepared for an hour or more walk - I think it was a mile and a half long! GREAT VALUE! I highly recommend it for families or a date night!! Check out their rating on Google too at 4.5 our of 5 and compare to whatever else is out there. I have been to Enchant DC in the city at the Nats ballpark and that doesnt come close to this one - they had a great marketing campaign with a 3.2 rating but tried it anyway for some crazy reason. I paid for tickets, $40 to park, super expensive food and drinks and ended up in a cement ballpark that was surrounded by bleachers in the inner city without a living plant to be seen. We were done walking through the entire thing in 25 mins with no bonfires to hang out and enjoy. Its was the worst of anything i have been to in the DMV.
