One tour not to be missed. Great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and went above and beyond answering questions. Very friendly, was like we was on a tour with a friend. View points were breathtaking

Had the best day with Tim on this tour. His company was fantastic only beaten by his knowledge of the area. Excellent way to see a large area of the lakes whilst learning the history and being expertly driven up some questionable roads to some amazing view points. Highly recommended

Tim gave us a fabulous day, calmly and expertly driving on hairy roads to gorgeous spots we would not have found on our own. Tim’s knowledge of both historical and current events and places of interest brought The Lakes alive for us. We had a real mix of weather and were lucky to see this beautiful place in a variety of conditions, all in one day. Note that the parking lot where you meet up does NOT allow for all day parking. You may park all day in another lot very close by, so arrive early enough to allow for a short walk over to the meeting place. I highly recommend this tour!

We had such a great time on this small group tour! We learned so much and saw beautiful sites. The van was comfortable and you could hear the tour guide really well. We enjoyed every moment of it.

We just returned from the Ten Lakes Scenic Tour with the amazing Tim and had to write a 5 star review straight away!! WOW! What a PERFECT day we had!!! The weather was perfect (fantastic weather for February!) and we lucked out with an intimate group of just 4 of us on the tour. Tim was extremely knowledgeable and kind, we throughly enjoyed his tour through the beautiful Lake District! We were only here in Keswick for 2 nights and we HIGHLY recommend booking a tour with Tim at English Lakes Tours!! You will not be disappointed!! Thank you Tim, for the memorable day! : )

We booked this tour as we’d never been to the Lake District before so we wanted to see the best it could offer and this tour showed us that. Tim our driver was full of knowledge and knew where all the good photo spots were. Although some passes were closed off due to snow, we still went as far as our van could make it. Just shows that he knows this place and where to go to give you the best tour possible.

The weather was awful but thanks to Tim our driver and very friendly guide, the day was surprisingly very good. Although it was awful weather, we did get out of the very nice little bus between the showers and had a great time. Tim told us so much interesting stuff and encouraged us to forget the weather and just enjoy the scenery (when we could see it) and the forces of nature around us. We got out at Honister Pass and were nearly blown over but couldn't stop laughing. Because of his extensive local knowledge, Tim knew where to go and what was safe for us to do, I wouldn't like to have driven on that day myself so taking a tour with someone attentive and experienced like him, was the best thing we did - apart from jumping in puddles!. Tip: get some good weatherproof clothing because brollies are useless in the wind!

This was a fantastic, informative tour packed with amazing views and good company. We got to see so much. Our tour started at 9.30 and ended at 4. As our accommodation was on route, our l tour guide - Dr Tim (you’ll have to go on a tour to find out why 😀) kindly offered to pick us up and drop us back!! Dr Tim was literally a hive of information and incredibly patient with our questions and numerous photo stops. In fact at points he suggested optimum places for taking pictures. We also had a chance to wonder by ourselves and get lunch in the beautiful little town of Grassmere and buy Grassmere ginger bread. Total value for money and my friend and I were blessed to have Dr Tim to ourselves as January is particularly quiet. I would definitely look to do another tour with English Lakes Tours when back in the area.
