Members of our research centre in Cambridge went to learn about women's history. It was fascinating. There was so much to learn about women scientists in particular. The tour guide, Rowena, was so friendly and brought their stories to life. It was all really well researched. We really enjoyed it.

A group of friends and I were excited to go on a walking tour about some of the "lesser known" histories of Cambridge, and this tour truly delivered! Because so many amazing women have been involved in different aspects of Cambridge, we ended up getting a really fantastic and well-rounded history of the University and the city as a whole - from Cambridge's various scientific discoveries, to all of the literary and theatre stars who studied here, to details about the architecture and Colleges. Our guide Rowena was incredible - she did such a great job of synthesizing hundreds of years of complicated history into an accessible format, and even the logistics (where the group stopped for information, the route we took, walking accessibility) were very well thought-out. I love going on walking tours in every city I visit while on holiday, and this was definitely among the top tours. Highly recommend, overall a really interesting peek into Cambridge's hidden histories with an engaging guide!

We had a fantastic tour guide who's an actual Cambridge student. Since we booked a private tour, she asked about our interests and was able to tailor her tour specifically for us. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable. This was definitely the best way to learn about Cambridge.

I usually don’t leave reviews but I LOVED this walking tour (I usually hate going on tours so that’s saying a lot). I was originally searching for a a tour that could give me the gist of the layout of Cambridge, since I’m only here for a short trip (I’m from the states), BUT when I saw a walking tour specifically catered towards women’s history at Cambridge I HAD to sign up. (Also this one is very reasonably priced compared to a lot of the other ones I was looking at). The guide was phenomenal--she’s an actual student there and was very welcoming AND knowledgeable. The content itself was SO interesting(I love Virginia Wolf and didn't realize she taught at Cambridge). I can’t recommend the women’s tour enough—it’s underrated. Support women!!:)
