This 6.5 hour tour was wonderful from start to finish, made even better by our fantastic guide, Caleb, and topped off with a delicious lunch at a restaurant in Girdwood (not included in tour price) Highlights for me were seeing the brown and black bears, moose, wolves, coyotes, foxes, wood bison, musk ox, caribou, reindeer, elk and other deer species, lynx and porcupines at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. We weren't able to walk to Byron Glacier as the track was closed but we had great views of it, as well as another glacier and beautiful Portage Lake. Highly recommended!

Our tour guide Caleb was fantastic. He is only 21 years old but so knowledgeable, professional and enthusiastic. The overall itinerary was excellent and I really enjoyed our visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center where we saw moose, brown bears, black bears, wolves, coyotes, porcupines, Musk Ox, Wood Bison, a lynx and a variety of deer species. Unfortunately we couldn't do the hike up to the Byron Glacier as the trail was closed but we got magnificent views of it and the Portage Lake and surrounding mountains and other glaciers. Lunch was at a fabulous little restaurant in Girdwood on the way back to Anchorage. Highly recommended!

What an incredible experience. I can't recommend it strongly enough. The scenery was beautiful and I loved seeing the animals at the conversation center. Lunch at a resort cafe was a fun touch too. The tour guides were knowledgable and fun.

A great way to see Anchorage and beyond without a car. James our guide was very friendly and had so much local knowledge. This was a very well run tour and the communication was excellent. We ticked off all the highlights with belugas, mountain goats, eagles and THEN all the animals at the conservation centre.

James was an AMAZING guide. From the night before the tour to the very end. He was knowledgeable, fun, and so kind. 10/10 would recommend this tour and James!

James was an amazing tour guide! We had a lot of fun seeing mountains and the animals! We even got to see a wild mountain goat. This tour was my favorite part of my anchorage trip!

Lesley_A

James told us the day before that he could pick us up an hour early to get started , so we jumped at that! He had a roomy suburban with snacks and water. James cleared out his whole day for us and gave us opportunities to stay longer or skip stops if we wanted to. We enjoyed James sharing his stories of Alaska and seeing all of the native animals at the wildlife park the most. James also recommended a place to eat lunch in Girdwood that was delicious. The only disappointing part was that there was not any glacier views due to the weather.

Susan R

James is the host with the most!!! Personable, professional, kind & thoughtful…and knows EVERYTHING about the area. I will ALWAYS recommend him and this company. When we come back in warmer weather, he will be the booking of choice!

Excellent guide (James), very friendly and cheerful. I learned more about Alaskan culture and enjoyed each of the tour stops, which are very well thought out.
