The architecture of the Opera House, the thoughts and planning of building materials that made it an icon of Sydney. It’s unfortunate and sad that Utzon did not get to experience the finished Opera House.

Very interesting to hear the whole story of the Sydney Opera House and many details, great guide, a must if you can’t watch a performance

When were went we weren't allowed to take photos in the main hall (due to rehearsals) and we couldn't go into a second hall at all (rehearsals again). I get this is a working theatre and some parts may be off limits, but I'm paying the same ticket price as someone who gets the full tour. A partial refund world have been a nice acknowledgement. Also I learnt next to nothing from our guide and learnt more about the Opera House from the video we watched.

We paid for the full tour, but weren't allowed to take photos in the main theatre (there was a rehearsal taking place), and we couldn't go into the second theatre at all (another rehearsal). I understand that this is a working theatre and some places might be off limits on the day, but I'm paying the same ticket price as someone going on a different day and they get the full tour. A partial refund would have been a thoughtful gesture, but nope, nothing. Also, I learnt practically nothing from our guide and learnt more from the video we all watched. Considering the cost I wouldn't bother with this tour.

This 1 hour tour was Ah-MAZING! Not only did we see a lot of the Opera House (inside and out) we learned so much about it from it's inception to present. Very well told by our amazing guide. We sat in the Opera House for a few minutes and towards the very end were allowed to watch the royal ballet rehearse for Carmen. I had goosebumps and a lump in my throat! Incredible experience. 10/10 would do again and again.

Loved the tour. Our tour guide made it very interesting. Loved the information about the history and the building materials.

Guided tour around Sydney’s Opera - handing out headphones x amplifiers is really great idea, doesn’t force people to cluster and miss if they get too far behind the tour guide. Out tour guide’s mic was playing up but I’ll still rate this with 5*s

This tour provided wonderful access to the opera house with a very informative guide. We saw the large theatres were given a great feel for the architecture and history of the building.

The Opera House is stunning both inside and out. The architecture takes your breath away and the guide was brilliant. This building’s better than the Taj Mahal and is definitely one of the seven wonders of the world. I shall talk about my one hour visit forever and forever amen.

This is a must-do event! The guide was very informative about the architecture, politics and costs of building this magnificent structure. In addition to regaling us with stories, she took us into a theater where the Sydney Ballet Company was warming up for a performance of Carmen. We watched them in silence and it was thrilling. She also was able to get the tour group into a theater where the Sydney Symphony Orchestra was practicing. We stood silently and listened as their beautiful music filled the concert hall. There was a fair amount of walking with this tour, and about 200 stairs, but they came in small bunches with plenty of recovery time in between. I highly recommend going on this tour, and not missing out!!
