My day began with a hearty breakfast at Caffè Gilli. The cafe’s history whispers from every corner, a favorite spot for artists and intellectuals for centuries. I savored a cappuccino and a delicate pastry, watching the city awaken in Piazza della Repubblica. The chill in the air was a reminder that February still held winter's breath, but the promise of warmth lingered in the rising sun.

From there, I ventured across the Arno to Palazzo Pitti. The sheer size of the palace is astounding, a testament to the power and wealth of the Medici family. Stepping inside, I was immediately transported to another era. The Palatine Gallery was first on my list, and I was utterly mesmerized by the collection.
