First Day Wonders in Florence

Arriving in Florence felt like stepping into a Renaissance painting itself. The crisp February air, a stark contrast to the dampness of Bristol, carried the scent of history and freshly baked bread. After a smooth flight and a quick taxi ride, we arrived at Hotel Cantoria, our home for the next nine days. The hotel's location is perfect, a stone's throw away from many of the attractions I had been anticipating. I was eager to begin our Florentine adventure with my friends.

The menu was creative and enticing, and we decided to try the tasting menu, a culinary journey through the region's flavors.

The bar was dimly lit and atmospheric, with a vintage vibe that transported us back to the Prohibition era. The cocktails were expertly crafted, and we enjoyed sipping them while listening to live jazz music. It was a fun and unique experience, a hidden gem in the heart of Florence. I'm glad my friends and I got to enjoy it together.

I'm particularly looking forward to climbing to the top of the Duomo for panoramic views of the city. But for now, it's time to rest and recharge, ready for another day of Florentine adventures.
