Today was all about embracing the serene rhythm of Holbox. We traded our usual busy schedules for the island's laid-back vibe, and it was exactly the kind of reset our family needed. From sandy toes to savory delights, Holbox has a way of captivating your senses and slowing down time.

Our day began with a delightful breakfast at Mr. Happy. The name couldn't be more fitting! The cafe had such a trendy vibe. Elena was immediately drawn to the children's area, which allowed Maximilian and me to savor our coffees in peace. I opted for the avocado toast, while Maximilian enjoyed the huevos a la leña. Elena, of course, chose the kids' menu pancakes, which she devoured with gusto. It’s a fantastic spot to start the morning, with its cheerful atmosphere and delicious offerings. Maximilian opted for the Suadero tacos, while Elena enjoyed a simple quesadilla. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with friendly staff and colorful decor. In the late afternoon, I'm hoping to do a bit of shopping at the local boutique while Maximilian and Elena relax at the hotel. For dinner, we'll be dining at LUUMA.
