The pesto class was amazing, best experience yet. We were served loads of wine, glasses kept being topped up, water was offered. Really good portions of food plus a cute little limoncello and lemon cake at the end. It was also really informative and a really good class to learn how to make pesto in. Nessun Dorma has nothing on this, come here instead

After not being sure how many people would come we ended up having a private lesson and she taught us all about the different kinds of pesto, pasta and other local foods and drinks like limoncino. She prepared one portion of pesto herself and then each one of us was able to prepare one as well which we got to eat. The class ended with a local lemon cake and limoncino! Unforgettable experience!!!

Wonderful experience in a delightful shop, in the streets of Levanto. Lots of pesto to sample, including wine and at the end, lemon cake and limoncello! Came away with a sound knowledge of how to make pesto!

The course overall was a lot of fun. Our host made sure we were always equipped with a beverage and was really good in giving instructions. The class is more or less communal, so instead of working on our own individual pesto, we took turns at the mortar where there was usually 2 persons per mortar/pestle. In the end, this was quite nice because we got to try a bit of everyone's pesto to compare and each group made 2 batches of pesto. It was a nice and relaxed atmosphere and overall a fun experience.

You can't beat fresh anything. Pesto is easy to make once you know how. And, you'll never go back to eating the rubbish they sell in supermarkets. Well taught in a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended.
