Lots of good information to digest and food to taste. Would have been better if we had audio receivers. Gabriele did his best to keep everyone on engaged and informed. I recommend this tour.

Learned so much from Gabriele, a very knowledgeable and charming guide. And we were served such a substantial amount of food, all of which was described in detail by Gabriele—production, preparation, and standards. This tour was a good value.

Thanks to Gabriele, this tour far exceeded my expectations. I didn’t know that food tour guides require education and certifications comparable to history and art guides. Gabriele’s extensive study plus lifelong interest and work in food service really showed. He was extremely knowledgeable, not to mention likeable and thoughtful. I learned so much and had a lovely time.

My partner booked this tour much to my trepidation. I thought I would lose half a day of our break as these things can just be shopping trips!! Bologna is blessed with not one but four unique foods that it is extremely proud of, cheese, ham, pasta and wine. Our guides names was Mattia who really made the tour worth while. His passion for Bologna and its food heritage was exceptional as well as his general knowledge of Bologna having lived in Bologna all of his life. I always have lots of questions and Mattia was not only able to answer every single one but could go far further in the explanations and dates, he never winged anything, his knowledge was tested thoroughly not the . The places we went felt genuine and the tour as a whole felt great value for money. If you're interested in a tour like this in Bologna do try and ensure Matta is your guide. You will gain way more knowledge and have a better experience IMO

Caterina was amazing. All the food was fantastic and her guidance around the city was informative and fun. The group was great fun and we had a fantastic time. Caterina is a local and her stories about her grandma really gave a great flavour to our tour, she was knowledgeable without regurgitating facts and the whole thing felt easy and enjoyable.
