Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the central area of Downtown Montgomery, start by heading east on Dexter Avenue towards the Alabama State Capitol. Continue walking for about 0.4 miles (approximately 8-10 minutes). Once you reach the intersection with Decatur Street, turn right and head south. Walk for another 0.2 miles (approximately 5 minutes). You will see Goldthwaite Street on your left. Turn left onto Goldthwaite Street, and Winter Place will be located at 454 Goldthwaite St, Montgomery, AL 36104, on your right.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  From any point in Downtown Montgomery, locate the nearest bus stop for the Montgomery Area Transit System (MATS). Take the bus line heading towards the Montgomery Transit Center. The fare is $1.00 per ride. Once you arrive at the Transit Center, transfer to Route 5, which will take you towards Goldthwaite Street. Get off the bus at the stop nearest to Goldthwaite Street. From there, walk about 0.1 miles (2 minutes) to 454 Goldthwaite St, where Winter Place is located.

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations located throughout Downtown Montgomery. Start by heading east on Dexter Avenue, then turn right onto Decatur Street.
