4.4

Dinosaurs In The Woods is a whimsical roadside attraction located near Barber Marina in Elberta, Alabama. Scattered throughout the wooded area off Barber Parkway, you'll find four lifelike dinosaur sculptures: a Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, and the elusive Brontosaurus. These sculptures were commissioned by George Barber, the owner of Barber Marina, and created by artist Mark Cline. The Brontosaurus is the most challenging to find, as it's tucked away deeper in the woods on the opposite side of the road from the other dinosaurs. The joy of discovering these prehistoric creatures in such an unexpected location makes it a memorable experience, especially for children. The sculptures offer fantastic photo opportunities and a chance to explore a unique and quirky side of Alabama. Barber Marina itself is also worth exploring, featuring other unusual installations like Bamahenge, a replica of Stonehenge, and the Lady in the Lake sculpture.
