Discover more about Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier

The Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier has been a landmark on the Gulf Coast for decades, offering both fishing opportunities and stunning views. Originally built as part of the Casino Resort development in the early 1930s, the pier provided a scenic viewpoint and a prime fishing location. The original pier was made of wood, but after sustaining irreversible damage from Hurricane Opal in 1995, it was replaced with a more resilient structure made of concrete and wood. Today, the pier stretches 1471 feet into the Gulf, providing ample space for anglers and sightseers alike. Visitors can try their hand at catching various fish species, including pompano, Spanish mackerel, redfish, and flounder. Fishing gear, bait, and tackle are available for rent at the pier's shop. For those not interested in fishing, a stroll down the pier offers amazing views of the beach, the marine life, and spectacular sunsets. The pier is also home to the Casino Beach Bar and Grill, where visitors can enjoy food and drinks with a view. The Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier is more than just a fishing spot; it's a place to experience the beauty of the Gulf Coast. Whether you're an avid angler, a nature lover, or simply looking for a relaxing stroll, the pier offers something for everyone.
