Several CARTA bus lines stop near the Tennessee Aquarium. From various points in Chattanooga, take bus lines 3, 4, or DTS to the Broad & W Aquarium Way stop, which is a 2-minute walk to the aquarium. A single ride fare on CARTA is $1.75. Alternatively, the free downtown electric shuttle provides service from the Chattanooga Choo Choo to the Tennessee Aquarium, stopping at every block. From I-24, take the US-27 N exit towards downtown Chattanooga. Then, take the 4th Street exit. Turn left onto 4th Street, then left onto Chestnut Street. The Tennessee Aquarium will be on your left. Several parking lots are available near the Aquarium and IMAX Theater. The Aquarium's primary parking lot charges $9 for 0-3 hours, $12 for 3-5 hours, and $14 for all-day parking. Prices do not include tax and are subject to change during special events. Alternatively, the CARTA North Garage at 211 Broad St. costs $2 to $8.
