Walking
Himarë is a relatively small town, and the main areas of interest, including Spile Beach, the promenade, and many restaurants, are easily accessible on foot. From the center of town, allow approximately 30-45 minutes to walk to Himarë Old Town (Himarë Fshat). Note that the walk to the Old Town is uphill.
Public Transport
Buses connect Himarë with other destinations along the Albanian Riviera, including Vlorë and Sarandë. There is no designated bus station, so it's best to ask locals for the current departure point. As a general reference, buses often stop at the 'Big Market' (a red supermarket behind the beach). A bus from Himarë to Sarandë costs approximately 700 Lek. Buses to Dhërmi depart three times a day and cost $14-$17. Buses to Tirana cost around 1000 Lek.
Taxi
Taxis are available in Himarë, with main companies including Himara Taxi and Riviera Taxi. A taxi from Himarë to Dhërmi costs approximately $29 - $35. A taxi to Tirana will cost between 130 and 160 euros. Always confirm the fare before starting your journey.
Ferry
Ferries connect Himarë with Corfu, Greece. The ferry crossing takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Check schedules and book tickets in advance, as services may be limited, especially outside of peak season. The ferry terminal is located approximately 0.3 kilometers from the city center.
