    If driving from Timgad, head north on Avenue de la Révolution towards the N31 road. Continue for 7 kilometers until the F7R3+JV2 intersection, then turn right onto N31. Follow the road for 4 kilometers; Lambaesis will be on your left. Parking is available near the entrance. There are no tolls on this route.

Founded between AD 123 and 129 as a camp for the Legio III Augusta, it became a permanent base and later the capital of Numidia.
