Walking
Start at the St. John's Public Market located at the corner of Market Street and Long Street. Head northwest on Long Street towards High Street. Continue straight onto Chicken Street. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the main road at the intersection with Factory Road. Cross the road and turn left onto Factory Road, heading towards Deep Bay. Follow Factory Road for approximately 20 minutes until you reach Deep Bay Beach. As you approach the beach, look for signs pointing to Fort Barrington. The trail leading up to the fort is located at the south end of the beach.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the center of St. John's, walk to the main bus station on Market Street. Look for a bus heading to Deep Bay or any bus that goes along the route towards the northwest coast. The bus ride will take about 20-25 minutes. Ask the driver to let you off at Deep Bay Beach. Once you get off, walk towards the beach and follow the signs to Fort Barrington, which is at the south end of the beach. The walk from the bus stop to the fort should take around 15 minutes.

The total distance is roughly 5 kilometers and should take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Deep Bay, park your bicycle and walk towards the beach. Follow the signs to the fort, which is located on the hill at the south end of the beach.
