From Mendoza, follow National Route 7 to the Aconcagua Provincial Park entrance, approximately 185 km away. The route is well-signposted. Continue along the road until you reach the Horcones area, where the trailhead is located. Have cash ready for the park entrance fee, which is around ARS 5000 for the general public. Parking is available near the trailhead.

Once at the Horcones trailhead, the path to Laguna de Horcones is well-marked and easy to follow. The round trip to the lagoon and back takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. The trail is relatively flat and suitable for all fitness levels. Be sure to stay on the designated path and carry water.
