Step Back in Time at the Historic Tramway of Buenos Aires

Getting There

• Subway

  Take the B line (Blue Line) of the Buenos Aires Subway (Subte) from any station towards Juan Manuel de Rosas. If you're starting from a central location like Plaza de Mayo, board at the 'Catedral' station and head north to 'Catedral' station. Get off at 'Catedral' and transfer to the B line at 'Lima' station. Continue on the B line until you reach 'Los Incas - Plaza España' station. From there, transfer to the D line (Green Line) towards 'Catedral' and get off at the 'Catedral' station. After exiting the station, follow the signs to the bus stop.

• Bus

  Once you’re at the 'Catedral' station, walk to the nearby bus stop and board the bus line 34 or 92. These buses travel towards Caballito. Make sure to check the bus schedule; they run frequently during the day. Get off at the stop closest to Emilio Mitre, which should be about 6-8 stops away depending on traffic. From there, walk a short distance to Emilio Mitre 500, where Tramway Histórico de Buenos Aires is located.

• Walking

  If you're close enough, you can walk to Tramway Histórico de Buenos Aires from nearby attractions such as Parque Rivadavia. Head southeast on Av. Rivadavia until you reach Emilio Mitre. Turn right and walk for about 5-10 minutes. The tramway is located at Emilio Mitre 500, in the Caballito neighborhood.
