Getting There

    From Iguazu National Park, take Route 12 toward Puerto Iguazú. Drive for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 101. Turn right onto Route 101 and continue for another 22 kilometers. You will then reach the junction with Route 7. Turn left onto Route 7 and drive for about 5 kilometers until you see signs for Represa Hidroeléctrica Itaipú Binacional. Follow the signs to the entrance. Please note that there may be a toll fee when using these routes.

    From the entrance of Iguazu National Park, you can take a local bus to Puerto Iguazú. The bus leaves regularly and costs around 50 Argentine Pesos. Once you arrive in Puerto Iguazú, you will need to transfer to a bus heading to Hernandarias, Paraguay. This bus is offered by several companies and costs approximately 100 Argentine Pesos. Make sure to have your passport ready as you will be crossing the border into Paraguay. After arriving in Hernandarias, you can take a taxi or a local bus to reach the Itaipú Dam, which is about 10 kilometers away.
