Getting There

• Car

  If you're starting in Tigre, take Route 9 (Panamericana) towards Buenos Aires. Follow the signs for General Paz Avenue and merge onto it. Continue until you reach the exit for Avenida 9 de Julio. Follow 9 de Julio south until you reach Defensa Street. Turn left onto Defensa Street, and the Convento Santo Domingo - Basílica Nuestra Señora del Rosario de la Defensa y Reconquista de Buenos Aires will be on your right at Defensa 422. Expect to pay tolls on the route, typically costing around ARS 70-100 depending on the specific tolls encountered.

• Public Transportation - Train

  From Tigre, take the Mitre Line train from Tigre Station towards Retiro. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Get off at Retiro Station. From there, you can either walk to the Basilica (about 20 minutes) or take a bus. If you choose to walk, head south on Avenida del Libertador until you reach Plaza San Martín, then continue on to Avenida 9 de Julio. Turn left onto Defensa Street and walk until you reach Defensa 422. If taking the bus, catch a bus heading towards Monserrat, and get off at the Defensa stop. The bus fare is approximately ARS 40.

  You can catch a direct bus from Tigre to Buenos Aires. Look for the 'Colectivo' bus services such as Line 60 or Line 168. Board the bus at a nearby stop in Tigre, and ensure you are heading towards the city center. It will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the city.
