Getting There

Car
From the main road in Kaibab National Forest, head towards Highway 89. If you are starting from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, take AZ-67 S to reach Highway 89. Once you reach Highway 89, head south for approximately 27 miles until you reach the junction with House Rock Road (also known as Forest Road 106). Turn left onto House Rock Road. This road is unpaved and can be rough, so a high-clearance vehicle is recommended. Continue on House Rock Road for about 10 miles. Look for signs for White Pocket. The last stretch involves navigating through sandy and rocky terrain, which may require careful driving. After reaching the designated parking area, prepare for a short hike (about 1 mile) to the stunning formations of White Pocket.

Public Transportation + Car Rental
If you are using public transportation, first travel to Page, Arizona. From there, rent a car as public transport does not directly service the area surrounding White Pocket. Once you have a rental car, follow the same instructions as above: head south on Highway 89, turn onto House Rock Road, and continue for about 10 miles to reach the White Pocket area. Be aware that you will need a 4WD vehicle to navigate the unpaved roads. Ensure to check for rental options that allow for off-road use.
