Walking
Himmel Park is located in central Tucson and is easily accessible on foot from the surrounding Sam Hughes neighborhood. From the intersection of Speedway Boulevard and Tucson Boulevard, walk south on Tucson Boulevard for half a block. The park will be on your left. Crosswalks are available at 6th Street and Treat Avenue, 3rd Street and Tucson Boulevard, and 2nd Street and Tucson Boulevard. No costs are associated with walking.

Public Transport
Sun Tran Route 4 runs along Speedway Boulevard and stops near Himmel Park. Exit the bus at the Treat Boulevard stop, which is halfway between Country Club Road and Tucson Boulevard. Walk south for 200 meters to the Himmel Park Library; the park is directly south of the library. As of July 2025, all Sun Tran routes are fare-free.

To reach Himmel Park by car, navigate to 1000 N Tucson Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85716. From Speedway Boulevard, turn south onto Tucson Boulevard and then left onto 1st Street. The parking lot is on the right between the tennis courts and the library. Parking is free. Street parking is also available on Treat Avenue and 1st Street. Limited parking may be available, especially during peak hours.
