Discover more about Juniper Tree Meadery

Juniper Tree Meadery, situated just outside Paragould, Arkansas, provides a delightful escape into the world of mead, the oldest fermented beverage in human history. This isn't just a winery; it's a family-owned meadery crafting a variety of meads, from wine-strength to session-level (beer-strength), ensuring there's a flavor for every palate. The meadery's name is inspired by the juniper tree, an ancient symbol of life and provision. The head Mazer (mead maker) has a Master's Degree in Biology and uses his knowledge to craft unique and award-winning meads. Mead, at its core, is a fermented honey beverage, and Juniper Tree Meadery uses Arkansas wildflower honey in many of its creations. This connection to local ingredients highlights the importance of honeybees and supports local beekeeping. Visitors can enjoy flights and tastings to explore the diverse range of meads, including their award-winning NTS (Not Too Sweet) and Angry Earl, a wildflower honey mead with Earl Grey tea, sage, and peppercorn. They also offer seasonal meads and "mocktails" that can be turned into cocktails. On weekends and during special events, live music and local food trucks enhance the visitor experience. The meadery offers mead by the bottle or growler for purchase.
