Located in a historic 1896 building in downtown Rogers, Arkansas, the museum attracts visitors from around the globe eager to relive childhood memories and discover the rich history of this iconic American brand.Founded as the Plymouth Iron Windmill Company in 1882, the company initially struggled to sell its steel windmills. Legend has it that when company president, Lewis Cass Hough, test-fired a prototype airgun, he exclaimed, "Boy, that's a daisy!". The airgun was initially offered as a premium to windmill buyers, but soon the demand for the guns overshadowed the windmills, leading the company to switch its focus. By 1895, the company officially became Daisy Manufacturing Company.The museum's chronological displays take you on a journey through Daisy's evolution, from its early airguns to its contributions during World War II, where it produced war materials. See airguns dating back to the 1600s and explore exhibits filled with antique furnishings, posters, postcards, photos, letters, advertisements and more. Don't miss the exhibit featuring Alan Shepard's Daisy-branded golf balls that he launched on the moon during the Apollo 14 mission.
