The Downtown Springdale Alliance (DSA) is a non-profit organization committed to the ongoing revitalization of Downtown Springdale, Arkansas. Formed in 2012 through a partnership between the City of Springdale, the Springdale Chamber of Commerce, and Historic Springdale, the DSA plays a crucial role in fostering economic development and community engagement.Downtown Springdale has a rich history, serving as a major agricultural center since its founding in 1838. The arrival of the railroad in the late 1800s solidified its position as a transportation and commercial hub. Emma Avenue, named after the stepdaughter of Springdale's first mayor, has been the heart of the downtown district for over 130 years.Today, the DSA focuses on activating downtown spaces, cultivating relationships, and creating unique events that bring the community together. The organization supports a wide range of initiatives, including public art installations like the Downtown Mural Tour, outdoor dining districts, and the revitalization of public spaces like Luther George Park. Downtown Springdale is also home to cultural and educational amenities such as The Jones Center, Shiloh Museum of Ozark History, and the Springdale Public Library.The DSA actively promotes the growth of downtown through various projects and initiatives. These include the Downtown Master Plan, which was adopted by the City of Springdale in December 2015 and updated in 2022, leading to millions of dollars in public and private investment.
