Getting There

Walking
Start at the central square in Gyumri, known as Vardanants Square. From there, head east towards Tigran Mets Street. Continue straight along Tigran Mets Street for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Abovyan Street. Turn left onto Abovyan Street and walk for another 500 meters. You will pass several shops and cafes. At the end of Abovyan Street, turn right onto Komitas Street. After about 300 meters, you will see the bus station on your left. From here, you can take a minibus (marshrutka) heading towards the village of Ani. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they are going to Ani Cathedral. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the stop for Ani Cathedral, disembark and follow the signs leading to the cathedral, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

From Vardanants Square in Gyumri, walk to the main bus station located about 1 kilometer northeast. Look for a minibus (marshrutka) that is labeled for Ani or Kars. Board the minibus and inform the driver of your destination as you get on. The journey will take around 30 minutes. Once you reach the area near Ani Cathedral, get off and follow the signs to the cathedral, which should be a short 10-minute walk from the drop-off point.
