Public Transport
From Adelaide CBD, the most convenient way to reach Glenelg Beach is via the Glenelg tram. The tram departs regularly from Victoria Square and arrives at Moseley Square, right on Glenelg Beach. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. A single trip costs around $5. Alternatively, several bus routes connect Adelaide CBD to Glenelg, including the 265, 190, and 167. Bus tickets cost approximately $5.
Taxi/Ride Share
Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber are readily available in Adelaide. A taxi ride from Adelaide Airport to Glenelg Beach typically costs around $20 and takes about 10 minutes. From the Adelaide CBD, a taxi to Glenelg will cost approximately $26-$32 and take around 12 minutes.
Driving
If driving from Adelaide CBD, exit via West Terrace onto Anzac Highway. Follow Anzac Highway to Glenelg. From Adelaide Airport, exit left onto Sir Donald Bradman Drive, then left onto Tapley's Hill Road. Access Jetty Road from Anzac Highway or Brighton Road. Parking is available in Glenelg, but can be limited, especially during peak season. Hourly parking rates range from $5-$7. KPark on Colley Terrace charges $5 per hour. The Beach House Car Park on Colley Terrace charges between $6-$7 for one hour.
Walking
For a scenic route, consider walking from Glenelg to Brighton Jetty. The round trip is 8km and takes approximately 2-3 hours. Enjoy the coastal views and stop at cafes along the way.
