Start at the Darwin city center (for example, the Darwin Bus Interchange at 69 Mitchell Street). Take Bus Route 4 towards 'Palmerston'. You will need to stay on the bus for approximately 25-30 minutes. Alight at the 'Charles Darwin University' stop. From there, you will need to walk. Head north on Ellengowan Drive for about 15 minutes until you reach the entrance to Charles Darwin Lookout. Follow the signs to the lookout point for stunning views.

If you are already in the vicinity of the Darwin city center, you can walk to Charles Darwin Lookout. Head east on Mitchell Street towards the Esplanade. Continue onto The Esplanade and then turn left onto Doctor's Gully Road. Follow this road until it meets with the Stuart Highway, and then turn right. Walk along the highway for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Charles Darwin Lookout entrance. The walk will take approximately 40-50 minutes.
