Car
If you are driving from the main entrance of Mount Field National Park, head south on Lake Dobson Road. Continue for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Great Pine Tier Road. Turn right onto Great Pine Tier Road and follow the signs for the Mole Creek area. After about 30 kilometers, you will reach the town of Mole Creek. From Mole Creek, continue north on Mayberry Road for about 5 kilometers, and you will find Marakoopa Cave on your right at 330 Mayberry Rd, Mayberry TAS 7304. Note that parking is available at the cave entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Marakoopa Cave using public transportation, you will first need to take a bus from Hobart to Sheffield. From Sheffield, you can catch a local bus to Mole Creek. Once in Mole Creek, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you the final 5 kilometers to Marakoopa Cave at 330 Mayberry Rd. Be sure to check local bus schedules in advance for the most accurate times and connections. Additionally, the taxi fare from Mole Creek to Marakoopa Cave is typically around AUD 15-25.
