Car
If you're driving from Armidale, head south on the New England Highway (A15) for about 50 kilometers. Then, take the Oxley Highway (B56) towards Walcha. Continue on Oxley Highway for approximately 28 kilometers. Apsley Falls is located just off the highway at LOT 7016 Oxley Hwy, Walcha NSW 2354. Look for the signs indicating Apsley Falls as you approach the site. There is a small parking area near the visitor center.
Public Transportation
To reach Apsley Falls using public transport, take a bus from Armidale to Walcha. Services may vary, so check the timetable in advance. Once you arrive in Walcha, you will need to hire a taxi or rideshare service to cover the remaining 15 kilometers to Apsley Falls, as public transport does not reach the falls directly. Ensure you have cash or a credit card ready for the taxi fare.
Walking
If you're near Walcha and prefer walking, you can hike to Apsley Falls from the town. The distance is approximately 15 kilometers one way, so plan for a full day of hiking. Make sure to bring water, wear suitable footwear, and check the weather forecast before you set out.
