If you're traveling by car, start from Hobart, the capital city of Tasmania. Head southeast on the Southern Outlet (A6) for approximately 20 km. Once you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto South Arm Road (B68) and continue for about 30 km. Follow the signs for South Arm, and when you reach the South Arm township, take a left onto Iron Pot Road. This road will take you directly to Iron Pot State Reserve. There is a small parking area available near the reserve where you can leave your car.
Public Transportation
To reach Iron Pot Lighthouse via public transportation, board a bus from Hobart to South Arm. You can catch the bus at the Elizabeth Street Bus Mall. Check the schedule for the latest times as they can vary. Once you arrive in South Arm, you will need to walk approximately 5 km to reach Iron Pot State Reserve. Alternatively, consider using a taxi or rideshare service from South Arm to cover this distance if you prefer not to walk.
