    Car

    If you're traveling by car, start by heading to the nearest town, which is either Deloraine or Mole Creek. From Deloraine, take the Bass Highway (A1) towards Launceston. After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit toward Sheffield (B14). Continue on B14 for about 20 kilometers until you reach the town of Sheffield. From Sheffield, follow the signs for the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, which will lead you onto the C136. Drive for about 38 kilometers until you reach the turn-off for Lobster Falls Track (located at Needles). Follow Lobster Falls Track for around 5 kilometers until you reach the parking area. Take note that the road may be unsealed in parts, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended.

    Public Transportation

    To reach Lobster Falls using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Launceston to Sheffield. The bus service is operated by Redline and the journey takes approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Sheffield, you will need to arrange for a taxi or a rideshare service to get to Lobster Falls Track as public transport does not directly service this area. The taxi ride will take about 30-40 minutes, and you should expect to pay around AUD 60-80 for the trip. Make sure to confirm the availability of taxis in Sheffield, as they may be limited.

    Hiking

    For the adventurous, if you are already in the vicinity of Lobster Falls, there are hiking trails that lead to the falls. Ensure that you have appropriate hiking gear, plenty of water, and a map of the area. The hike from the nearest parking area on Lobster Falls Track to the falls itself is about a 2-kilometer walk.
