Car
If you are driving, head towards Weng, Austria. From the center of Kaiser Mountains, take the L5 road towards Weng. Continue on this road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the address HCJX+F7, 6382 Weng. There is limited parking available near the starting point of your hike to Prostkogel.
Public Transport
To reach Prostkogel using public transportation, take a train from the nearest major train station in the Kaiser Mountains area to Weng. You can check the train schedules on the ÖBB website. Once you arrive at the Weng train station, you will need to take a local bus or taxi to the address HCJX+F7, 6382 Weng. Note that bus schedules may be limited, so plan accordingly.
Hiking
From HCJX+F7 in Weng, you can begin your hike to Prostkogel. Follow the marked hiking trails that lead towards the Prostkogel summit. The hike is well-signposted and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The trail is approximately 5 kilometers long and can take around 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the summit, depending on your hiking pace. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking gear and carry enough water.
