Walking
From the Linz Hauptbahnhof (main train station), exit the station and head towards the main street, Bahnhofstraße. Walk along Bahnhofstraße until you reach the intersection with Landstraße, Linz's main shopping street. Turn left onto Landstraße and continue walking straight. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the Hauptplatz (Main Square) in the Innenstadt district. Hauptpl. is at the center of this square, surrounded by beautiful historic buildings.
Tram
From the Linz Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take tram line 1 towards 'Gugl' or tram line 2 towards 'Pichling.' After about 5 stops, alight at 'Hauptplatz.' The Hauptpl. is located right in front of you as you exit the tram. This is a convenient option if you prefer a quicker route.
Bus
From the Linz Hauptbahnhof (main train station), walk to the nearby bus station located just outside the main entrance. You can take bus line 27 or bus line 29, both of which will take you directly to the Hauptplatz. The journey takes about 10 minutes. Once you arrive, you will see the Hauptpl. right in front of you.
