Schattberg X-press: Gateway to Alpine Adventures

The Schattberg X-press is a vital mountain cable car that serves as a gateway to the stunning alpine scenery of Saalbach-Hinterglemm. In winter, the area transforms into a snowy paradise, with the cable car providing easy access to some of the best skiing and snowboarding slopes in the region.The original Schattberg cable car, a landmark in its own right, was modernized in 2002 and transformed into the current 8-seater Schattberg X-press. The base station is located in the center of Saalbach. The top station sits at 2,020 m. From the summit, you can access attractions such as the Summit Playground and the X-Line and fAIRy-Line bike trails. It's also a starting point for the Seven Summits and Pinzgau Walk hiking trails.
