Weingut MARIEL embodies generations of Burgenland winemaking passion in Wulkaprodersdorf. Family members including Katharina, Joachim, Konrad, Martina, Gabi, and Richard cultivate 8 hectares of vineyards on the Leithagebirge and Föllikberg slopes. Since 2008, they've embraced organic methods, avoiding herbicides and pesticides while using compost, stable manure, and green cover crops to nurture soil health. This bio-certified approach, aligned with Bio Austria and Slow Food, yields wines that vividly express their terroir.

Signature Wines and Production

The portfolio spans crisp whites—Chardonnay, Gelber Muskateller, Grüner Veltliner, Sauvignon Blanc, Welschriesling—and robust reds like Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, Merlot. Whites mature in steel tanks or acacia/oak barrels for freshness and structure; reds age in large oak fässer or barriques for depth. Additional delights include Traubensäfte, Frizzante, Sekt, balsamico, fruit brandies, chutneys, and jams, all from estate produce. Recent accolades highlight Zweigelt Reserve Pesac 2023 as state winner and top sustainability rankings.

Heuriger Experience

The heuriger revives Burgenland traditions with innovative twists.
