Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Cuesmes, the Terril of Héribus is accessible by foot. Head south towards Chemin de Bavay. The walk is approximately 1.5 kilometers and should take around 20-30 minutes. Follow the signs for 'Terril de l'Héribus'. Be prepared for an uphill walk as you approach the terril.

  • Public Transport

    From Mons city center, take a TEC bus towards Cuesmes. Several bus lines serve Cuesmes. Get off at a stop near Chemin de Bavay. From there, follow Chemin de Bavay towards the terril. A single bus fare is approximately €2.50.

  • Driving

    From Mons, drive south towards Maubeuge. After about 2 kilometers, you'll see the terril on the right. Turn right onto N543 before the village of Ciply, then take the first right. Drive less than a kilometer and take the first right to the base of the terril on the south side. There is parking available at the foot of the terril on Rue Hector Delannois. Parking is free.
