Getting There

Train
From Liège-Guillemins train station, take a train towards Maastricht. You'll need to change trains at either the station of Heerlen or Valkenburg. Make sure to check the train schedules for the most efficient connections. Once you arrive at Valkenburg station, exit the station and head southeast on Stationsstraat. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Plenkertstraat. Turn left onto Plenkertstraat and walk about 500 meters. The Roman Catacombs will be on your right.

From the center of Liège, walk to the nearest bus stop and take bus line 48 towards Valkenburg. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the 'Valkenburg, Plenkertstraat' stop. From there, walk about 200 meters along Plenkertstraat, and you will find the Roman Catacombs on your left.

If you're staying in central Liège and prefer walking, you can take a scenic route through the surrounding areas. Start at Place Saint-Lambert and head southeast towards the Meuse River. Follow the river until you reach the bridge. Cross the bridge and continue on the path leading to the outskirts of Valkenburg. This route is approximately 10 kilometers and will take around 2 hours. Once you reach Valkenburg, find your way to Plenkertstraat where the Roman Catacombs are located.
