Getting There

• Car

  From the center of Liège, head southeast on Rue de la Cathédrale toward Rue de la Régence. Continue straight onto Boulevard de la Sauvenière. Then, turn left onto Boulevard du 12ème de Ligne. Follow the signs for Citadel of Liège. The citadel has a designated parking area nearby, but be aware that parking fees may apply, so check for signage regarding costs.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Liège-Guillemins railway station. Look for bus line 1 or 4, which will take you toward the city center. Get off at the stop 'Perron' and transfer to bus line 5 or 6, which will take you directly to 'Citadelle'. The bus ride costs around €2.50 per trip. Ensure to validate your ticket before boarding.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of the citadel, you can walk from the city center. Head southeast on Rue de la Cathédrale, continue straight onto Boulevard de la Sauvenière, and then turn left onto Boulevard du 12ème de Ligne. The walk is approximately 25 minutes and offers scenic views of the surrounding area.

• Taxi

  For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi. You can easily find taxis around major squares or call one through a taxi service app. The journey from the city center to the Citadel of Liège should take around 10 minutes, depending on traffic, and will cost approximately €10-€15.
