Getting There

    From your location in Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, drive towards the town of San Ignacio. Follow the signs to San Ignacio, which is approximately a 30-40 minute drive depending on your starting point. Once you reach San Ignacio, look for the signs leading to the George Price Highway. Take the George Price Highway (Western Highway) heading towards Belmopan. After about 15 minutes, take the exit for the Hummingbird Highway (also known as the Southern Highway) at the junction near the town of Teakettle. Continue on the Hummingbird Highway until you reach the intersection with the Southern Highway. From there, take a right turn onto the Southern Highway and continue driving for about 15 minutes. Look for a sign indicating the turn-off for Seven Miles El Progresso. Turn left onto this road and drive for about 1 mile until you arrive at Ceiba Farm, located at the address 42WP+7X, Seven Miles El Progresso.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Ceiba Farm via public transportation, you will need to first get to San Ignacio. From your location in Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, take a local bus or arrange for a taxi to San Ignacio. The bus fare is typically around $2-3 BZD. Once in San Ignacio, you can catch a local bus heading towards Belmopan. Inform the bus driver of your stop at the junction for the Hummingbird Highway. After about a 20-minute ride, you will get off at the junction. From there, you may need to wait for a bus heading towards Seven Miles El Progresso. As the buses may not run frequently, it could be beneficial to check the schedule ahead of time. The fare for this leg of the journey will be approximately $2 BZD. After getting off at the Seven Miles El Progresso stop, you will need to walk about a mile on the road until you reach Ceiba Farm.
