If you are starting from the central market of Ouidah, head south onto Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rue du Souvenir. Turn left onto Rue du Souvenir and walk for about 10 minutes. You will pass local shops and eateries along the way. Keep walking until you reach Rte des Esclaves. The Ouidah Museum of History (Portuguese Fort) will be on your right, just before you reach the coastline.
