Car
If you are driving from Thimphu to Jaigaon View Point, take the Phuentsholing-Thimphu Highway (NH 2). After roughly 70 km, you will arrive at Phuentsholing. Continue straight until you reach the border town of Jaigaon, India. The Jaigaon View Point is accessible via V92P+76R Gairigaon, which is a short drive from Phuentsholing. Look for signs along the road directing you to the viewpoint. Parking is usually available near the viewpoint.
Public Transportation
To reach Jaigaon View Point by public transport, take a bus or shared taxi from Thimphu to Phuentsholing. The journey takes about 5-6 hours. Once in Phuentsholing, you can hire a local taxi or take a shared taxi to Gairigaon. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at Jaigaon View Point. The cost for the taxi from Phuentsholing to the viewpoint should be agreed upon in advance, typically ranging from INR 300 to INR 500, depending on negotiation.
Walking
If you're already in Jaigaon, you can reach the viewpoint by walking. From the main market area, head towards Gairigaon. The viewpoint is about a 15-20 minute walk from the center of Jaigaon. Follow local signs or ask for directions if needed. The area is generally safe for pedestrians, but be cautious of traffic.
