Getting There

    If you are driving from Zhemgang Town, head northeast on the Zhemgang-Trongsa Road (also known as the Gelephu-Trongsa Highway). Continue for approximately 40 kilometers. After passing through the small town of Trongsa, look for the sign directing you to Taa-Dzong, which is just off the Bumthang - Ura Highway. The last stretch leads to Taa-Dzong, which is located at coordinates 27.4993111, 90.5076205. There is no entry fee for the site, but ensure your vehicle is in good condition for the mountain roads.

    To reach Taa-Dzong using public transportation, board a bus from Zhemgang to Trongsa at the local bus terminal. Buses typically run several times a day, and the journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arrival in Trongsa, you can either take a taxi or a local shared vehicle to reach Taa-Dzong.
