Car
If you are driving from Zhemgang town, start on the main road heading east towards the town of Trongsa. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on road conditions. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you towards Thrumshing La, which is situated along the way. You will pass through several small villages and beautiful landscapes. As you approach the pass, the elevation will increase, so drive cautiously.

Buses leave from the main bus terminal in Zhemgang and typically run a few times a day. The bus ride will take around 2 hours. Once you arrive in Trongsa, you can hire a taxi or a local shared ride to Thrumshing La. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it should cost around 500-700 Ngultrum. The taxi ride will take approximately 30 minutes as you ascend towards the pass.
