From the center of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, head to the main bus terminal located at Avenida Grigota. Look for buses heading to Porongo or Laguna Capiguara. Make sure to ask the bus driver to confirm they go to your destination. The bus ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Porongo, get off at the main stop and ask locals for directions to Laguna Capiguara, as it is a short walk from there.

You can take a shared taxi (known as Trufi) from various points in Santa Cruz. Head to a Trufi stop and look for a vehicle marked with the route to Porongo. The ride may take around 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you reach Porongo, you can either walk or ask locals for further directions to Laguna Capiguara, which is about 2 km away.

For the more adventurous, consider renting a bicycle from a local shop in Santa Cruz. Head towards the Avenida Grigota and follow it out of the city towards Porongo.
