From Maun Airport (MUB), take a taxi to Royal Tree Lodge, approximately a 20-minute drive. Taxis are readily available at the airport. A typical taxi fare from the airport to the lodge ranges from 30-40 Pula.

From Maun, head north on Sir Seretse Khama Road and follow the signs for the Okavango Delta. After approximately 20 minutes, you will see signs for Royal Tree Lodge. The lodge is located on a private reserve on the banks of the Thamalakane River. Note that a 4x4 vehicle is not essential for reaching the lodge, but is recommended for exploring the surrounding areas. Parking is available at the lodge.

Guests can relax in well-appointed, private, and spacious tents or romantic thatched honeymoon suites. The spacious, thatched guest area is the heart of Royal Tree Lodge, where large doors open onto a wide teak deck shaded by Motsentsela trees. It's here that guests can exchange stories, meals, and drinks.Royal Tree Lodge offers a variety of activities, including game drives, guided walks, and horseback safaris. Marked walking trails invite guests to create their own adventure and allow for safe, intimate interaction with wildlife. For the more adventurous, scenic flights over the delta and mokoro canoe trips down the river can be arranged. In the evenings, guests can gather around the communal fire and share stories with personal safari hosts and Royal Tree Lodge managers.The lodge features seven luxurious safari tents, two romantic thatched honeymoon suites, and a private villa. The tented rooms are built on wooden decks with verandas overlooking the forest and feature en-suite bathrooms with freestanding bathtubs and outdoor showers. The air-conditioned honeymoon chalets are tucked away in secluded spots and feature indulgent sunken baths.
