Getting There

• Public Transport

  From the city center of Fortaleza, head to the nearest bus terminal, which is the 'Terminal Rodoviário Eng. João Thomé'. You can take a taxi or a local bus to get there. Once at the terminal, look for buses heading towards Aquiraz. The bus line 'E-100' or 'E-200' will take you in that direction. Make sure to inform the bus driver that you want to get off at 'Praia do Presídio'. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. After disembarking, walk towards the beach following the signs for Praia do Presídio, which will be a short 10 to 15 minute walk.

  For the more adventurous, consider renting a bicycle in Fortaleza and cycling to Praia do Presídio. You can begin your journey at the beachfront promenade. Head east along Av. Beira Mar, following the coastline. After about 30 kilometers, you will enter Aquiraz. Look for local signs directing you to Praia do Presídio. The ride will take approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on your pace, and offers beautiful views along the way.
