Start by heading towards Rua Visconde de Pirajá, a major road in Ipanema where you'll find numerous shops and eateries. Walk along this street until you reach Avenida Vieira Souto, which runs parallel to the beach. Turn left onto Avenida Vieira Souto and continue walking straight for about 10 minutes. You'll soon see the beautiful beach, complete with its iconic views of the Dois Irmãos mountains on the horizon.

  If you prefer taking public transportation, you can catch a bus that goes to Praia de Ipanema. Look for the blue and yellow 'Ônibus' (bus) stops along Avenida Vieira Souto.
