  • Public Transport

    From downtown Antioch, start at the Antioch BART station and take a train towards Pittsburg/Bay Point. Transfer to the County Connection bus #100 towards Antioch. After two stops, get off at Bridgehead Rd/Wilbur Ave. Walk east on Bridgehead Rd for 5 minutes to the park entrance. Tri Delta Transit also offers on-demand shuttle service in the Antioch/Oakley area via the Tri MyRide app for $2 per ride. A one-way trip on Tri Delta Transit fixed routes costs $2.

  • Driving

    From Highway 160 in Oakley/Antioch, exit at Wilbur Avenue (the last exit before the bridge). Turn right on Wilbur, then immediately left on Bridgehead Road. The park is at the north end of Bridgehead Road. Parking is free. Limited monthly parking options are available in Antioch, with average prices ranging from $50 to $500.

Antioch/Oakley Regional Shoreline is a delightful regional park nestled along the San Joaquin River, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and recreational activities. Spanning the shoreline between Antioch and Oakley, this park provides a tranquil escape for nature enthusiasts, anglers, and families. The park's main draw is its 550-foot fishing pier, constructed from the pillars of the old Antioch Bridge. Open 24/7, the pier provides access to the river's rich fishing grounds, where anglers can catch striped bass, channel catfish, sturgeon, and more. A valid California fishing license is required for those 16 and older. The pier includes amenities such as lights, benches, and windbreaks, ensuring a comfortable fishing experience. A fish cleaning station is also available. Beyond fishing, the park offers a range of activities. Visitors can enjoy picnicking in the 4.5-acre meadow area, complete with tables and barbecues. Paved trails wind through the park, perfect for leisurely strolls and enjoying the waterfront scenery. Kite flying is another popular pastime, taking advantage of the Delta breeze. The land was acquired in 1979, and the park was initially named Antioch Regional Shoreline. In 1999, it was renamed to commemorate the incorporation of Oakley. The park is operated by the East Bay Regional Park District on a no-cost lease from the State of California. The Anza Expedition also came through this location.
